[Aikido] belt tests etc.

Alright everyone, here's the deal. The end of the semester is fast
approaching, and we need to start thinking about belt tests. If you
plan to be testing for a belt you need to do two things: first you have
to make a commitment to come to practice regularly so that you know
your stuff when the test rolls around. We won't test anyone who's not
going to pass, but that means that if you want to test you have to put
yourself in a position where it won't be a problem. You don't have to
come to every practice, but you should come as often as you can for the
next month.
The second thing you need to do if you plan to test is let me know via
e-mail so that we have some idea of numbers and ranks. On Saturday,
April 30th Manny Vargas will be coming up to test 3 or 4 people for
their blackbelts and Aslak for his brown belt. Alan and I will be
conducting the rest of the tests some time around then, most likely a
different day.
Also, Manny is opening up a school in Briarcliff Manor. There is a
demo on April 9th that we are all invited to. Let me know if you're
interested and we'll try to get a group together to go down. That's it
for now. Take care.
