Dear Everybody,<br><br>
I hope that you all had nice breaks and are happy to be back at
Vassar doing aikido.<br><br>
I'm finally settled in here at Osaka University in my research
appointment. I have a very nice sixth floor view of a pond and a
bamboo forest. My office his huge, and even has its own sink.
And I've managed to finagle the data I'm going to need to do my research
project. So that is all good.<br><br>
But what's great is that I got to start training in aikido at
Shodokan dojo with Nariyama Sensei last night. Better yet, I'll be
able to go five days a week.<br><br>
The dojo is the best in the world, and I already learned a ton in
just one practice. It's so easy to learn when everyone is doing
everything correctly. Plus, my Japanese has come a long way since I
was here last time and I can now get most of what's going on.<br><br>
To keep you all up to date and able to share in what I'm learning,
I've started a little blog. It's at tomiki.blogspot.com.

This wednesday, the 26th from 11-3 there will be a Winter Activities Fair
in the North Atrium (I guess that means Main). I have secured us space,
