Dear Campus Community:

Some of you may know that last night at 10:00 there was an armed robbery of
the Gulf gas station at 339 Hooker Avenue (across the street from the
Prentiss athletic fields). The latest information from the City of
Poughkeepsie police is that the suspect is a white male in his late 20’s to
early 30’s, 5’8" tall, 180-190 pounds, who was wearing a mask and gray
hooded sweatshirt pulled over his head. He fled towards Cedar Avenue, and
the police continue to investigate. Anyone with information on this robbery
should call the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department Confidential Tip
Line at 845-451-7577. As always, be aware of your surroundings.
