I'm emailing again to let you know about a *screening of Schindler's List
this Wednesday, April 22nd at 6:30pm in Rocky 200.*

Schindler's List is a 1993 American epic historical period drama, directed
and co-produced by Steven Spielberg and scripted by Steven Zaillian. The
film is based on the life of Oskar Schindler, a German businessman who
saved the lives of more than a thousand mostly Polish-Jewish refugees
during the Holocaust by employing them in his factories. In 2007, the
American Film Institute ranked the film 8th on its list of the 100 best
American films of all time. The Library of Congress selected it for
preservation in the National Film Registry in 2004.

The VJU has organized this screening in honor of Yom Ha'Shoah, or Holocaust
Remembrance Day, which falls in the month of April. There will be a
discussion bagel brunch the following Sunday, at the Bayit.

The screening is co-sponsored by the Vassar Jewish Union, Film Department,
VC Filmmakers, RSL, German department and Jewish Studies Department.
