Women in science and Europe - May 15, 2009

It is all too common to hear complaints that there are not enough 
women in science. Yesterday, Europe's research commissioner warned an 
audience in Prague that, "It's a little like being a magician - take 
a look at the upper levels of the occupational ladder in science and 
technology: women disappear!"
