the VC nordic team has some big things in the works this year.  thought i'd
give you all an update.

1. we are getting roller skis!  vsa gave us some extra money and we will
have 2 pairs for people to use and practice skate skiing before the snow
comes

2. *race registration. *this is kinda *important*.  when we get back second
semester we will go on some weekend trips in VT and upstate NY.  these trips
are for racers AND non-racers.  if you think you might want to come on any
these trips, sign up. *no obligation. you are not committed to race.  sign
up anyway!  *it is easy.  do this:
a. if you identify as female, go to:

if you do not identify as either, choose based on which sex you would rather
race against.
b. fill out the form.  you DO NOT have to pay.  we will cover that.
c. print it.
d. sign it.  send it to my box (Isaac Leslie *Box 2634*) in main building
e. please do it by *wednesday, oct. 28th.  *

3. we are planning a big ski trip for the end of this semester.  last year
we went to Salmon Hills and stayed in a yurt for four days.  we have not
chosen the place yet but this year we will leave friday, dec. 18th after the
last exams are done.  we will come back sometime around the 23rd.  we will
try to make it completely free.  keep the dates in mind when making your
winter break plans.  also, we will only be able to take a limited number of
people, probably based on how many cars we have.  more info to come later
on.

4. if you have any ski equipment, you might want to bring it back to school
after october break or thanksgiving, especially if you want to come on the
trip.  if you don't have equipment, no worries, we've got you covered.
