Hello student members of the aikido club (this email doesn't pertain to
non-students),

We need to submit a constitution to the VSA for this semester, and we
the officers have come up with a few amendments, which must be voted on
in class.

The amendments will:

1. remove the restriction that officers must come to class twice a
week. (Over the last two years, we've had several officers who, for
various reasons, couldn't regularly attend practices for extended
periods. They were fine officers, and, seeing as it's hard enough to
get people to volunteer to be officers, it seems counterproductive to
restrict our pool of potential officers)

2. Allow us to hold votes via email, to be counted by a neutral third
party, appointed by consensus of the club. This should be a lot simpler
than our current voting method.

But for now, we have to vote on the constitution the old fashioned way,
this Thursday. If you are not able to come, you can send a proxy. If
you can't find one, email me, and I'll be your proxy. I'm attaching the
new constitution to this e-mail, so you can go over it if you like.
