[Aikido] officers elections, parties, worlds, and more

Dear all,

So far I have received one accepted nomination for each of the four
positions.  They are as follows:

 

President: Jeff Stickle

Vice President: Anh Ngo

Treasurer: Jessica Neuner

Secretary: Natalia Doan 

 

I will give 3 days for any further volunteers or nominations to be submitted
and then will open up elections. According to the constitution, elections
must be held even if we have one candidate running per position. 

 

To conduct elections I will give you the email of an impartial individual
not affiliated with the club to whom you will email your votes. These votes
will be counted by him or her and reported to the aikido board without any
individual names being associated with the votes.

Please do not hesitate to still run for a position or recommend someone for
a particular position; it is not selfish to nominate yourself.

 

We are planning an end of the year BBQ as well as a possible ice cream
party. I also have a full season of Mind, Body, and Kick Ass Moves that I
may be screening during study break or finals. If anyone else has fun ideas
for end of the year activities please email me and I will consider them
highly.

 

If you are going to worlds in Ohio in the beginning of August please tell me
immediately. I need to know soon and I am sure Flynn Sensei would like to
know as well.     

 

I also want to thank everyone who helped out at the seminars this weekend. I
have received a lot of good feedback and I hope that the sharing between
clubs, arts, schools, and individuals will continue in this area. Thanks for
your enthusiasm, interest, and labor. 

 

Belt tests coming soon.. Please have fun preparing.

 

Its been a great year so far, lets make it even better in the little time we
have left,
