Dear Science-minded students,

The first edition of the newest publication on campus, Science Works at
Vassar, came out a few weeks ago. It was a great first edition featuring
student and faculty research, reviews of talks on campus and books. If
you haven't seen the newsletter yet, look for it around campus or contact
me for a copy.

The purpose of Science Works is to get people together across the
scientific disciplines to talk about what they're doing, what's happening
on campus, and in the greater scientific world; generally foster academic
community. This is also a publication that cuts across department and
program lines to give you perspective on science as a whole.

We're accepting articles now for the April edition. TThere is still space
if you would like to contribute. We're interested in articles about your
own research on or off campus, cross-over between science and humanities,
book reviews, reviews of new scientific theories, faculty interviews, and
images. This is by no means a comprehensive list so if you have another
idea about something that would interest the Vassar scientific community,
go for it.
